〜がほしい
To want somethingmachine translation
FormationNoun + がほしいです
Noun + がほしいです means "to want something." Note that the particle is が, not を.
ほしい conjugates like an い-adjective: the negative is ほしくないです, the past is ほしかったです.
Distinguish it from 〜たいです: ほしい goes with a noun (wanting to HAVE a thing), while たい goes with a verb (wanting to DO something). Both are only for your own wishes — don't use them to state other people's wishes directly.
