〜ながら（も）

You already know ながら meaning "while doing…"; at N3, the same form carries a second meaning: "ALTHOUGH… ." 悪いと知りながら、うそをついた (even though I knew it was wrong, I lied). Adding も to make ながらも brings the concessive meaning out even more clearly.
How to tell the two meanings apart: the "while doing" meaning goes with two ACTIONS happening in parallel, while the "although" meaning usually goes with STATES or verbs of cognition like 知る・思う・ある, and the two clauses contradict each other. Unlike the original ながら, which attaches only to verbs, the concessive meaning also attaches directly to adjectives and nouns: 狭いながらも楽しい我が家 (our home, small but happy), 子供ながら (though only a child…).
A fixed phrase you'll meet every day: 残念ながら (unfortunately…) — a polite opener for unwelcome news. Compared with のに, ながらも is more formal and written-leaning, and it carries no reproachful tone; for sharper complaining, Japanese has くせに — a pattern of its own at this N3 level.
